Oak to Ember renovated a nearly 5,000 square foot building in the heart of Gloucester fishing, commercial and tourist district. Originally built to provide a fisherman’s union hall, our 9 Roger Street location is adjacent to Gloucester’s scenic Harbor Walk and St. Peter’s Square parking. The immediate neighborhood is home to art galleries, retail stores, music venues, dining establishments and the Beauport Hotel.

OUR TEAM

Neal Maver

Neal Maver, chef, owner and Gloucester resident, brings French and Italian cooking experience from Boston and local area restaurants. Oak to Ember was an opportunity for Neal to revitalize a space in the heart of Gloucester’s historic district and to create a menu that offers classic New England seafood and prime meats prepared traditionally as well as using a live-fire grill and smoker. Oak to Ember makes the most out of the abundant local purveyors for lobster, tuna, oysters and other shellfish and seafood, along with fresh produce from area farmers.

Staff

We are proud to employ 60+ people from Gloucester and the surrounding towns.

OUR PURVEYORS

We are proud to support our local farms & fishing community. Oak to Ember capitalizes on the abundance of local purveyors for lobster, tuna, oysters and other shellfish & seafood, along with fresh produce from area farmers.
